In-Home Grooming Experience

What is in-home grooming and how does it work?

in-home-grooming

In-home grooming means your pet is groomed inside a dedicated salon space within the groomer’s home instead of a busy shop or mobile van. At Furology, pets receive one-on-one, cage-free care in a calm, quiet environment that reduces stress and keeps them comfortable.

Do you use kennels, cage dryers, or restraint systems?

No. Furology is fully cage-free and we never use kennels or cage dryers. Pets are groomed one-on-one and hand-dried with unheated professional dryers. For safety, gentle grooming loops are used during bathing and drying to prevent slips.

How long does a typical appointment take?

Most dog grooms take 1 to 2.5 hours depending on size, coat, and services. Most cat grooming appointments take 1 to 3 hours. Times vary based on coat condition, temperament, and haircut needs.

Do you groom one pet at a time?

Yes. We work with one pet or one family at a time so each dog or cat receives our full attention with no kennel waiting. Multi-pet families are welcome, and pets can relax safely in our cage-free space while their sibling is being groomed.

Do you offer comfort breaks?

Yes. We provide comfort breaks whenever needed, especially for seniors, anxious pets, or dogs who benefit from short pauses. We use gentle handling and positive reinforcement so pets feel safe and relaxed throughout their appointment.

Training, safety & handling

Are you certified or professionally trained?

training-and-safety

Yes. Our owner, Beth, has groomed professionally since 2011 and spent over a decade training new groomers. Furology holds multiple certifications in grooming safety, skin and coat care, and low-stress handling, with ongoing continuing education each year.

How do you handle anxious, fearful, or reactive dogs?

We specialize in grooming anxious and sensitive dogs. We work at your pet’s pace using a low-stress, positive approach, offering breaks and reassurance as needed. If a dog becomes too stressed, we pause or stop the session to keep them safe.

What is your Reactive Dog Meet & Greet?

Our Reactive Dog Meet & Greet is a shorter, low-pressure visit for dogs who struggle with grooming, new people, or new environments. It allows us to assess triggers, understand comfort levels, and create a customized, safe grooming plan.

 Before your appointment

What should I bring to my appointment?

before-your-appointment

Dogs should arrive on a secure leash, and cats must be in a well-ventilated carrier. You’re welcome to bring high-value treats your pet enjoys, especially for anxious or food-motivated pets.

What vaccinations are required?

A current rabies vaccination is required by law. We also recommend keeping your pet up to date on other core vaccines based on your veterinarian’s guidance.

Booking & Payments

How do I book an appointment?

booking-and-payments

You can book online through our website, where our schedule is always current. For questions or assistance, text us at 984-833-6118 — texting is usually the fastest way to reach us.

Do you require a card on file?

Yes. A card on file is required to reserve appointments and helps us uphold our cancellation and no-show policies as a small, one-on-one grooming salon.

Can I book recurring grooms?

Yes. Many clients stay on a recurring schedule to maintain healthy coat care and reserve their preferred day and time year-round.

How do I pay for my service?

We accept Square electronic payments, can charge your card on file, or accept cash at pickup. We do not accept personal checks.

Location & Accessibility

location-accessibility
