Terms of Service

At Furology, we value your time and the care of your pet. In order to maintain a smooth scheduling system and provide the highest level of service to all our clients, we have established the following policies regarding cancellations, no-shows, payments, and appointment punctuality. Please read carefully.

Furology

Cancellations and No Shows​
  • Notice Requirement: We kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. This allows us to offer your appointment slot to another client.

  • Cancellation Fees:

    • Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment will incur a 50% charge of the standard grooming fee.

    • Charges will be automatically placed on the credit card we have on file, and a receipt will be emailed to you.

  • No Call / No Show:

    • Failure to show up without texting will result in a 100% missed appointment fee, less $1; charged to your card on file.

    • This fee is non-refundable and cannot be used toward a future service.

    • Additionally, a non-refundable prepayment will be required for all future appointments.

  • Chronic Late Cancellations: Clients who cancel at the last minute on a recurring basis will also be required to prepay for future services, and these payments will be non-refundable.

Late Arrivals

  • Clients arriving 10 minutes or more late will be considered a No Call / No Show, and the appointment will need to be rescheduled.

  • The No Show fee (100% of the full service price, less $1) will apply and be charged to your card on file.

Credit Card on File

  • Due to an increase in missed appointments, a credit card is required to secure your booking.

  • Your card will not be charged to hold an appointment but will be used to enforce our cancellation, no-show, and payment policies as outlined above.

Payment Terms

  • Payment is due on the same day services are rendered.

  • We accept cash and online invoice payments.

  • Invoices not paid by the end of business day will incur a $10 late fee and be automatically charged to the card on file.

At Furology, your cat’s health, safety, and comfort are always our top priorities. Grooming cats requires a unique and gentle approach, and we are committed to providing a calm, respectful experience tailored to your feline companion’s needs.

Understanding Cat Behavior

Cats are sensitive animals who often struggle with change and unfamiliar environments. Even with the most careful handling, a grooming session can be stressful or overwhelming for some felines. At Furology:

  • Every effort will be made to ensure your cat’s visit is as pleasant and stress-free as possible.

  • Our grooming team will assess your cat’s temperament and physical condition before beginning any services.

  • We use a gentle, feline-focused approach, respecting your cat’s comfort level at all times.

Stress and Safety Policy

Cats often give clear signs when they have reached their limit—and we listen. If your cat becomes too stressed, agitated, or reactive during grooming, services will be stopped immediately for their safety and well-being.

Please note:

  • This may result in your cat being sent home unfinished, which could include being damp or only partially groomed/trimmed.

  • You will be notified right away if services need to be discontinued due to stress or behavioral concerns.

Payment Policy

  • A partial or full payment may still be required at the groomer’s discretion, based on the services rendered up to the point of discontinuation.

  • Your understanding is appreciated, as handling and managing a stressed or reactive cat still requires time, skill, and care—even if grooming is not completed.
